P/T Food Service Clerk

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for keeping all store deli cases stocked and clean during business hours. Works deli counter including assisting customers by offering advice on selection, preparation and packaging. They must ensure proper rotation and quality of deli products being sold; especially expired stock. Weighs and labels product for customers. They will assist customers as needed and maintain a friendly, energetic demeanor at all times.
Position Requirements

Should have previous experience working in a Deli department in a healthy grocery retail environment. Requires the highest level of customer service at all times. Must have the ability to work in high volume conditions with excellent attention to detail. Must have advanced knowledge of the Sunflower deli department categories - prepared salads, green salads, fruit salads, soups, prepared meals, sliced meats and rotisserie chicken. Must have excellent skills working with knives and meat slicers. Must be able to lift 50lbs. .
